Keeping the curtain drawn on Katrina
The wizard's secret is safe with the Senator
Ted Mann

From the Department of Things Certain Candidates Wish Had Come To Light A Little Sooner:

Sen. Joe Lieberman, on second thought, won't be forcing the White House to come clean about its response to Hurricane Katrina after all.

Thanks to the folks at Newsweek, we know the senator's position on demanding the Bush administration turn over documents from that hellish episode is not quite as firm as it once was.

And no thanks to Lieberman, we may not ever really know just how much blame the executive branch, including its chief, should or shouldn't share for the disgusting spectacle that unfolded in the Gulf (the American one).

Somewhere, Ned Lamont is putting his fist through the drywall.

Lamont will have a lot of company.
