The Insurance Tangle

My health situation has gotten more complicated as I am now fighting both depression and anxiety in additition to some sort of serious gastro-intestinal bug. All of my very limited energy has gone into the hunt for insurance that will cover at least some of these conditions. I'm still around, but don't have the concentration right now to be contributing as often as I did before.

Depending on your finances it is possible to go to the county and they will pay for emergency hospital visits. You may have to tell them your indigent or have no money, but it can save your credit rating. If your detiorating, you will need to go. If your credit is ruined it's explainable. Health care ruins alot of peoples' credit.

Personal

Sorry to hear you are / were sick. I am a regular on wiki and I had not seen you around. I missed your excellent comments. I hope focus on getting better and you have my prayers and best wishes.

Cheers

(btw - universal healthcare in canada is a good thing - smile )

Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear about your ills. I'd second the advice about contacting your county, or, for that matter, going directly to a hospital, because of their free care pool policies. Take care, and we'll work on universal health care come January....

Hey Melanie! Glad to see you've returned to the blogosphere. I was wondering where your site had disappeared to. I figured you had taken off to the Caribbean and were busy getting your tan just right.

Melanie,
I hope you are OK... My thoughts are with you...

Oh, Melanie, I'm so sorry.

Hey, Melanie, its getting to be a long time since we heard from you. How about letting us know if you are OK?

Have you found insurance? I'll help you raise funds for that or medical care. Please, Melanie, stay in touch.

I hope things are ok with you. When you are able, please let us know how you are.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been unwell and hope you're getting better. As to the insurance dilemma I recommend socialised medicine. It isn't perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than the American system.
