Facts are Stubborn Things

Ya know, it blows me away how little sense of history the cable airheads have. I've been listening to the CNN shouters all day. All this horseshit about the Dems being weak on security reminds me of that August 6, 2001, Presidential Daily Brief, the one that said "Bin Laden Determined to Strike Inside US." The one that W responded to the briefer by saying, You've covered your ass." So, exactly how wonderful are the neocons on security? Would somebody please get Wolf Blitzer some facts?

Comments

"President Bush said Thursday that an uncovered British terror plot to blow up planes flying to the United States was further proof "that this nation is at war with Islamic fascists." (CNN)

Is Bush TRYING to make this into a world wide religious war?

I cannot even imagine a (supposed) leader saying somthing like this.

Is this some tactic to try to raise the ratings of the republican party?

If it works, my faith in the American people will be greatly diminished.

Get better Melanie...
